GeekFest Jeddah

GeekFest Alpha has been Postponed until further notice!

GeekFest is an UNorganized offline social for online people and creates a casual friendly atmosphere to share geeky passions from tech to design and all in between.

GeekFest is made of GeekTalks, engaging ArtStuff, and TechnoCases (Technology Cases) for companies to display tech products and create dialogue with local online thought-leaders. Check out Khayra's blog for regular updates!

Pixel Munch

UNorganizers

Khayra Bundakji

A computer science senior at Effat University with an affinity for community platforms, informality, and escape from corporate initiatives and efficiencies. She's seen the online community of Jeddah blossom to a full society of cliques, cewebrities, and audiences, hence bringing GeekFest to town. She works very diligently in reminding everyone involved of how little they should care about GeekFest.

Mariam Alabbas Hamiddaldin

Resident hippie and supporter of all good intentions, she has quite the knack for making community-powered events take place and getting people excited about it when it's been so long in the making. She reminds Khayra regularly of logistics and contacts that need to be contacted.

Nessreen Diana Tamano

English teacher by day, podcasting blogger by night, Nessreen Diana has a variety of personalities pass through That Jeddah Podcast, leaving behind fresh perspectives and a platform for local talent to be showcased. She helps make Khayra seem professional and focused.

Ghaida Zahran

Interaction design extrodinaire and not-so-l33t gamer. When she's not making tasty websites and apps, she's piloting a Viper Mk II, playing drums, and trolling Jeddah with the other UNorganizers. Used super skills to create a digital home for all that is GeekFest Jeddah under Pixel Munch's supervision.

GeekSpeakers (GeekFest Jeddah α)

Dima Ikhwan

Economy, improv, and books. Because why wouldn't your average person geek-out to those things? 3al6ayer comedy writer comes to share experiences of being in the first batch of the YouTube channel's creators and what's come of it overall.

Diana

Nessreen Diana Tamano comes to speak as her online alias, Diana (who isn't any different than her, actually). She shares her knowledge of blogging and podcasting along with her experience with That Jeddah Podcast.

Jawaher Abbar

An avid animal activist, among many other things, comes to explain why opening a much needed dog shelter in the kingdom is near impossible and to share her own experiences with Darwin and Gaia.
